The Archdiocese of Imphal is one of the 31 Ecclesiastical Provinces in India and is the home for over 100,000 Catholics. It is hierarchical in nature, strongly compact, well knit together according to the teaching of Jesus Christ, the Holy Catholic Church founded on St. Peter, the Apostle of Jesus Christ, in accordance with the tradition and teaching of the Church. The Vatican announced the appointment of Very Rev. Fr. Linus Neli as the new Archbishop of Imphal on 7th October 2023 and consecrated as the Archbishop of Imphal on 8th December 2023. With a distinguished background in canonical and theological scholarship, and pastoral care, Archbishop Linus Neli, brings a wealth of knowledge and a renewed vision for the Archdiocese. Archbishop Linus Neli is the third Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Imphal.​

Ordained to the Priesthood for eternity, we leave behind our loved ones and relinquish all earthly attachments. Nourished daily by the Precious Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, we step beyond our comfort zones to love and serve all humanity.

 

 

Our Objectives

  • To love and serve all people without distinction, with a special care for the poor, the marginalised, the needy, and the differently abled.

  • To build a just society through value-based education, forming each child with generosity and compassion.

  • To go extra mile for every person, ready even to give our lives in service of humanity.

  • To proclaim the Gospel through our lives, our actions and words.

To renounce earthly comforts for the sake of serving humanity and witnessing to Christ's love.
